Questions about STI screenings, mental healthcare, or locating a dentist? HIS Lifestyle Mobile app grants immediate access to sexual health advice. Designed with Black gay and bisexual men in mind, this app contains the HIS Lifestyle Health Assessment, Doc Chat!, and a Chicago area directory of health resources.

Together these help you connect with healthcare professionals who are sensitive to the needs of Black gay and bisexual men and more! Start your personalized plan towards a healthier lifestyle TODAY!

Key Features:
• Health Assessment – This survey assists users in identifying health concerns and lifestyle goals (e.g. regular STI/HIV screening, accessing mental healthcare, or locating a dentist). Upon completion, they are provided with a list of recommendations to improve their overall health and well-being. Your responses will remain completely confidential.
• Doc Chat! – Here, our group of medical and public health advisors takes questions from users regard their health. Send them a message and they’ll respond (some questions will even appear in our quarterly Lifestyle Guide)
•Resource Directory – This searchable database includes Chicago Area health resources sensitive to the needs of Black gay and bisexual men. Enter your zip code and search by service or fee. Find the closest comprehensive medical, dental, HIV/STI Testing, Mental Health, or Substance Abuse service site.

About Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus

Chicago Black Gay Mens Caucus (CBGMC) mobilizes and empowers Black gay men and their allies to decrease new HIV infections and improve the overall health outcomes of our community. We specialize in creative and collaborative programming that promotes HIV testing, routine mental and physical health screenings, and risk reduction practices.

Our Healthy is Sexy (HIS) Lifestyle Campaign is a community health initiative focused on increasing Black gay and bisexual men’s utilization of health care services. This mobile application is part of that campaign. Inside you’ll find our interactive health assessment, directory of Chicago area health services, and connection to medical and social resources designed with you in mind.

The campaign also includes a quarterly lifestyle guide (online and print) and physical health cooperative (weekly fitness groups).

CBGMC launched the Healthy is Sexy (HIS) Lifestyle Campaign in 2012.
